Hair scarves - yay or nay? What else?

I have long ish (bra fastening) curly hair. Having it tidied up next week as it needs the layers cutting back in to stop me looking like a triangular Crystal Tips, but I'm keeping the length. The thing is, I pretty much only clip the front back in a barrette(?) clip or I show the whole lot up in a messy bun which I'm sure isn't doing it any good. It's looking pretty frizzy at the moment, and although there's a lot of it, it's basically pretty thin and fly away. I don't like wearing it completely down as it gets everywhere and is like wearing an animal on my head!

Saw a woman wearing a scarf in her curly hair yesterday and it got me wondering whether I could do the same. She was stunning and was rocking a whole fifties thing though....neither of which are me!

So scarves in hair - yes or no? What else do you do to keep your hair under control?

Hi, I'm watching this with interest as I love the look you describe...I myself have really short hair-cropped pixie (?) Kind of longer at the front and swept to the side and an wondering if the scarf thing could work for me too? For you I think it'll DEFINITELY work and I'm almost sure I've seen some in shops like Primark like a hairband on elastic with a tie/bow on the side....

I few years ago (ok like 11/12) hair scarves were definitely in fashion. I used to have those long thin ones that you'd wear like a headband. I loved that style! Really hoping it comes back in soon.

I don't like the look in general but think Iif you're doing rhe whole fifties thing it's fine, otherwise not so much,

I find headscarves slip. It drives me crazy. I love how they look but the just slip and then I pull them out

I like it.

I love hair scarves. I wear them because they work for my hair.

Try it out for a few days and see how you feel.

I wear them all the time!

I wear them when I've got a curl in my hair and plenty of hairspray so they stay put. The Seasalt hairband/neckscarf thingys are good, there are some in the sale aswell.

Go for it, I have the very same hair and us scarves and when I run a buff which is like a snood but not lol x
