What's with all the sparkly shoes?

it's hard enough to find a pair of shoes in my size as it is. Now I have to discount half the possibilities because they're sparkly.

I have one pair of dark-kahki green trousers
One pair of dark blue jeans
One pair of black jeans
Thinking of buying a pair of dark blue (cotton) trousers if I can find any.

Should I go for black or brown shoes?

I've no idea but I want to commend you on your restraint.

I spent the whole sodding afternoon walking around town looking for a pair of shoes and found not one in my size because "we don't stock larger sizes order them off the internet. You don't have to pay postage on returns"
That means I have to pay, wait to try, 90% chance they won't fit, wait for a refund, order another pair ad infinitum.
