I'm running low on the organic surge shampoo and conditioner so off on my constant quest to find a good SLS free shampoo.
Organic surge has been ok.
Body shop was rubbish but can't remember why I hated it
Same for Jason
Green people was too drying on hair and skin
Dr organic is too watery.

I'm like bloody goldilock! Please help me find one that is just right! 😳😄

I like the Liz Earle one. I also used to get on well with Ojon and MOP shampoo but stopped due to price (can't remember if they have SLS though).

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 02/08/2017 09:09

I love Liz Earle products...but not the shampoo and conditioner! I won't be rebuying.

Hmmm 2 opposite answers. 😬
Any other suggestions or recommendations?

Initially I loved it - made my hair bouncy and shiny - but soon my hair felt 'coated' and looked lank. I was very disappointed because I love her other products. For reference, my hair is thick, mid-length, in good condition (cut regularly, not dyed etc) and tends towards greasiness.

SLS free has to be Pureology Hydrate. It is also silicone free. They are 'vegan' too (whatever that means). Great quality shampoo, fantastically gentle on scalp but actually washes hair without stripping it. The conditioner is lightweight but very effective. You can buy it in huge 1L salon sizes for about £20 which is excellent value compared to other high end shampoos.

Joico curly range is sls and 'cone free too but not as nice as Pureology ime (also doesn't smell as nice).

I love Philip Kingsley No Scent, No Colour shampoo combined with his moisture extreme conditioner but they are not SLS free.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/08/2017 15:28

It was ok,I didn't re buy. Think I experienced lankness after initially being pleased as well.

il0vew1ne · 02/08/2017 15:36

I loved it at first but after my 3rd tube my hair became very dry, I am going to try Pureology next

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 02/08/2017 17:18

I loved it at first but after a while I started getting sore spots on my scalp at the back. I don't think it was really washing my scalp properly. I also tried the Body Shop volumising SLS free rainforest stuff, but my hair got so dry and the scalp spots came back too.

I'm now using Organix Weightless Coconut Water shampoo and conditioner and I really like them (particularly because my local Tesco stocks them and I don't need to trek to John Lewis for them!). I had Organix Volumising stuff (purple bottles) first but then I got my hair highlighted and it went so dry and frizzy. The coconut water tames it!

Hair is naturally fine and goes greasy quickly, light brown, thinnish, currently has blonde highlights.

HarryBiscuit · 02/08/2017 17:22

I liked the conditioner but not the shampoo.

peppykoala · 02/08/2017 17:32

I forgot the Liz Earle was on my list to try, re-adding it! Favourites so far have been ones you can only get online in UK - Caudalie and Vichy Dercos ultra soothing which is my absolute go to. OGX ones are my backup - fine but none are 'the one'. Richard Ward (I think... Available at Waitrose anyway and does have ALS) I didn't like and Avalon was just awful.

prettywhiteguitar · 02/08/2017 18:12

Honestly it so depends on your hair type, I like it but my hair might be totally different !

PonderLand · 02/08/2017 18:13

It gave me a really bad scalp after using Liz earle. I wouldn't buy it again! I'm gonna try Phillip Kingsley next time.

ihatethecold · 02/08/2017 18:24

I've recently bought this
L'OREAL SERIE EXPERT NUTRIFIER SHAMPOO 1500ML And the conditioner in the same range.
It's got no silicone
It's fab stuff and concentrated so I only need a small amount.

greenlavender · 02/08/2017 20:13

I love Liz Earle skincare & some perfumes but not haircare or indeed cosmetics. I'd go with Aveda.

jeaux90 · 02/08/2017 20:52

Organic wise I really like the Avalon shampoos. I didn't get on with the conditioner though but I have very thick dry hair so use the Superdrug own brand coconut water hair mask as a conditioner.

NatalieRushman · 03/08/2017 07:27

I love the Liz Earle shampoo and conditioner. It's one of the only ones out there that don't make my scalp really dry but somehow also really greasy. For reference, I have long, thick, straight hair.

NatalieRushman · 03/08/2017 07:28

On the other hand, I don't like the skincare products...

stupidphone · 03/08/2017 13:53

I really like it! It's on offer at the moment too, think it's £16 for shampoo and conditioner. They have a sale on, you extra free goodies if you spend over a certain amount. I love all her stuff and perfume too!

Maverick66 · 03/08/2017 16:12

No!

Clickncollect · 03/08/2017 19:56

Used some samples and didn't get on with it at all - for some reason my hair was so knotty and coarse! It smelt lovely though.
