Ok this has probably been done to death but when I search older threads about rucksacks/backpacks (not really sure which term to use!) a lot of them seem to deal more with style that comfort.
I currently use a small crossbody bag for day to day use - I deliberately chose a small one so I can't overload it and hurt my shoulder/hip etc. However as I'm not using a buggy every day now I need something that can store a book, umbrella and a few other things. I'd love a nice stylish rucksack but don't want to have an aching back at the end of the day!
Anyone have any recommendations? Was looking at Kanken, Herschel, Sandqvist but happy to look at other brands too.
Also any opinions on leather vs fabric - I get things grubby pretty quickly so wasn't sure which would be better.
