Boots points - what to buy?

Deianira · 01/08/2017 12:11

I've (unusually for me) managed to save £33 worth of boots points, but now can't decide what to spend them on! I have plenty of all the basics - haircare, skincare etc., so something fun would be the best choice. I like wearing both nail polish and make-up, but have got a tiny bit stuck in a rut with both of those, so am looking to shake things up a bit rather than just buying more of the same.

So, if it were you, what 1/2 'fun' products would you get? Any suggestions at all are welcome!

Perfume feels like a treat? Or I save my points and get myself a silly electrical styling tool like tongs or babyliss big hair- so much fun and I would not normally fritter money on something like that!

Unfortunately the perfumes I like are a bit more than that - and I am tired of saving! (It's rare that I get beyond about £6 in points - I am much better with real money!) Thanks though!

I always get something from the makeup counters. Love going round them all deciding.

Not sure I have time to get to the shop for a bit - what were your last exciting finds, Shenanagins ? Anything you'd recommend?

Do you wear lipstick? I'd go for a lipstick from Chanel, YSL or Dior.

Deianira · 02/08/2017 11:07

I do! Although generally my most expensive lipsticks are Clinique or MAC - so that'd be a new area for me - what would you recommend of those three? I tend to slightly prefer cream finish to matte (unless it's a very nice matte), and any colour other than dark purple or very pale pink is a possibility.

I am a dedicated red lipstick wearer, so possibly not the best person to ask, and I also prefer a matte finish. If it was me I would look at Chanel Pirate, Dior 999 (which comes in matte or not-matte), YSL No 1, or YSL Le Mats in 203. I occasionally venture into hot pink, and also like Estée Lauder Neon Azalea, but again, it's matte.

Thank you very much - I will check those out! I am absolutely not averse to a nice red.

Just wanted to drop a line to say thanks Judydreamsofhorses - I dithered for a while longer, and then bought a Chanel lipstick - and went for matte red too (I actually wear both, and not totally sure why I was avoiding it at the the time of my last post!) It's gorgeous - feels like a lovely treat from those points, so thanks for the recommendation!
