Hi all,

sick to the back teeth of knickers that don't wash very well and look haggered after 3 months of owning them. Can anyone recommend any pants brands or places to buy them that are good - (I only wear thongs ) - that wash well and last?!

Also not sure if I am going wrong washing them at 40 ??( they are standard non fancy knickers- I do handwash some posher bits with a anti-bac wash)

G xx

I recently threw away all my old knickers and bought all new from Hunkemöller. I only bought thongs. I also got 6 cotton regular bikini knickers from oysho. I am guilty of washing them at 50 degrees, to kill off as much as possible, but at least I wash them in a Hunkemöller washbag. 40 seems icky for underwear that goes right up your butt and 60 might kill the underwear so I go for middle ground. I have them since spring and so far so good. Love the designs too.

Thanks for this their stuff looks awesome! How did you hear about them??

Will have a look re washing machine settings. We put everything through prewash with anti bac fluid, also put this in handwash - supposedly better for environment but will have a google.

Sloggi. They're plain and not very sexy, but they're bloody comfy and wash well.

Try empowerment pants! Google them.

@graceyg You are welcome. I found out about the brand online and after some time a shop opened in a mall right next to where I work. After seeing them up close I went home and emptied the contents of my knickers drawer in the bin Grin. It was due a long time, but I hadn't found a brand both appealing and affordable. Also try their bras if you can. I got a beige, push up, removable straps and no-show under the thinnest t-shirt and it is now my absolute favorite! Even better than my wonderbras, that never seem to have all aforementioned attributes in one effing bra.

I've changed a lot of mine from M & S to Sainsburys Tu. The modal knickers are lovely and comfortable and sizing good (I'm a 14).

Also I have bought Sainsburys basic unpadded lace bras. OMG, they are the most comfortable ones I have ever worn. Picked one up in a fuschia pink for £3 in the sale, just to try, and have since bought the nude, black and white. Being lace and unpadded they're no good for under anything clingy, but for an everyday basic they are great. Forgot to say, they are a bargainous £6!!!
