Which nail colour would you choose right now?

Sorry to come across as entirely vacuous but genuinely curious.

I haven't been able to afford a manicure for a bit, can now and want sth summery as opposed to my standard red. Was tempted by metallic silver but not sure. Think I'm too pale to carry off white.

I would try and match with the most common colour in your wardrobe/suitcase, or even better bring different colours with you to match your outfits. That said, coral looks gorgeous on a tan and is usually my go-to but it depends on your colouring x

I would go for a soft peppermint, like a slightly chalky pastel with a sheen to it! Like this one

I like coral for summer too but find it very tricky to get the right tone for my skin, I need a soft pinky one rather than a vibrant orange.

I think pink and red are the two 'standard' nail colours. However, recently bought a dark pinky/purple called Wine from Maybelline which looks great but that's more an A/W colour than S/S. Summer you can play with more 'fun' colours I think.

I had my nails done last week and went standard summery bright pink!

Relating it to the clothes is difficult if you wear lots of colours, which I do (!)

What has put you off metallic silver? Metallics are very 'in' right now and most people can carry them off.

In terms of what colours suit I think it also depends on nail shape. Short petite nails suit dark colours I find whereas long elegant nails suit nudes, pales, pastels ...and brights!

Grateful for the ideas of others though. And yes I had "summery" in mind but like the more autumnal ones too. Basically sitting on the fence to the point of having splinters in my arse.

Now you've made me want to search out a rose gold metallic.

Otherwise, I'd have a fairly muted neutral pink. Something that would go with everything, and make me look 'healthy' rather than 'hey look at my fancy nails'. That's just the mood I'm in today though. I'm off to look up rose gold polishes.

I've just had a sort of peachy coral put on :) I always go for warm colours that match my skin tone. That peppermint is lovely but I wouldn't be able to wear it as it's a cool colour. You might want to consider that too maybe?

I've had bright pink with a glitter nail too.

I've got Mouse colour fingernails and silver chrome toes.

I've just started doing my own gel nails and Currently have nude. But looking thinking of Ching it for baby blue, pink or a bright coral. I can't decide.

I have silver nails right now - great with a tan!
