Shoes for 40yo DH

My DH is in need of some shoes. Desperately. He has no interest in fashion - just something comfortable. I'd like something a little more interesting than the brown Skechers he's had for years.

He's very much a jeans and check shirt sort of guy. And his feet are wide like flippers.

Anyone know what brands might work for him?

DH recently bought some surprisingly non-fuddy duddy canvas trainers from Clarks. He too has wide feet and finds them really comfortable. I can't find the ones he has on the website, but these are the most similar: www.clarks.co.uk/c/Stanway-Lace/p/26128096

Dp wears either This sort of thing in canvas or leather or Dr Martens brogues.

MY DH swears by Ecco shoes. He's on his feet most of the day and they are the only brand he's found that are comfy enough ( thick spongy soles) without being trainers. Expensive, but last really well, and you might find something in the sales. He says they are more comfy than the brown Sketchers!
