French holiday question

I am off to France soon, any good suggestions of French style and beauty products to look out for?
I am sure I will be envious of their seemingly effortless style and looks.
Are there any good threads and/or sites to look at?
(Secretly hankering after a French lifestyle despite being an overweight, 53 year old Devonshire girl!)

Make up forever, although it's much more widely available in the UK now. And Sephora - their own brand make up is very good value. I've seen threads recommending French supermarket fashion before too (eg monoprix).

Avène. Loads cheaper in France

Mixa is a very cheap brand that's great for everyday skincare, such as day and night cream. Their hand creams are superb.

Search for "what to buy in France" recent thread. Lots of food discussed but also some beauty/pharmacy type produce in there.

Sorry, i don't know how to link another thread on my phone.

Meant to say look at Avène and La Roche Posay products.

I have to second Mixa Expert in supermarkets. I bought a light serum while on holidays last year which was cheap as chips and amazing. Wish I'd stocked up on it and will be when I go back in a few weeks!
