Dress for posh garden party

Going ro a posh garden party type thing. Fifty, size 14, menopause tummy, good hair, OK arms, big tits and not great legs. 5'7".

Panic bought this in phase eight sale. It's a good shape on me and great colour but not sure if it's just a bit old fashioned looking.

I really like it - have a great time!

Accessories will make the difference, avoid pashminas, fascinators and shiny nude shoes

What accessories would you put with it Devil?

I really like it too. I think I'd go for black shoes, nude/pink bag and a jacket (depending on the weather)

Posh means lots of different things. Being summery and vaguely floral it seems a good dress for a garden party.

I think there's a difference between an outdoor party for friends and a fashion show/style competition/parade of conspicuous consumption.

I wouldn't bother with high heels as they have a way of sinking into wet lawns.

You just need a cardigan or jacket for if/when the temperature drops.

Looks great, big prints, florals and wrap waists are really big at the moment, so I don't think is old fashioned.

Ideally I'd go for pinky nude jacket or cardie - something with a bit of embroidery/ribbon/sparkle and a low or flat pair of shoes in one of the darker pink shades in the dress.

Thank you! I'll look for some wedges that shouldn't sink. Good idea about jacket rather than pashmina.

I think it looks lovely.
I'd wear flats with it.
