Are unicorn make up brushes a really stupid idea?

I've seen - and now really really want - a set of unicorn make up brushes.

(Now I have explained to him what they are) DH thinks they are for "teenagers or adults who wear fairy wings and face glitter to festivals". He has pointed out (accurately) that I am neither of those things. I have pointed out I could easily become the latter... Grin

I think they will make me smile every time I use them. They are not super expensive (there are loads available at different price points anyway). Can anyone think of any reason why I shouldn't get them?

Not if you want them. If they will make you smile, then go for it.

If yuo wear makeup and have the disposable income, multi-coloured make-up brushes seem like a perfectly reasonable thing to spend it on.

Will your DH be using them? Grin

If not, get them. Embrace your inner glittery self. I love them. Have you seen the mermaid ones too? www.spectrumcollections.com/collections/brush-sets/products/glam-clam

I am 50 and as far removed from a unicorn/mermaid person as is possible, but oh. my. god. I desperately want those mermaid brushes. They're so pretty!

burnishedsilver · 01/08/2017 10:19

I don't see the appeal myself but anything that harmless that brings a smile to your face is worth indulging in.

PerditaNitt · 01/08/2017 10:26

If they are going to make you smile and bring you happiness; get them! Clearly you aren't impulse buying them since you're taking time to post on MN.

Thanks for sharing about them; I really want some too now! Just have to hide them from my DS1 who likes to tickle himself (and try to eat!) my brushes!

Libitina · 01/08/2017 10:30

I have some. I'm 47 and old enough to know better. I love them, they're so pretty.

Go for it!

ProseccoPoppy · 01/08/2017 23:17

Thank you all! DH won't be using them (at least not that I'm aware of!) Grin. Definitely going to order some (woohoo payday treat!!)
