Boden - new season

Has anyone else had the new season collection email from Boden? I think I saw just one thing I would consider wearing. I used to buy loads from them but really struggle these days.

My wardrobe is probably 80% Boden but I agree you have to be careful with prints and shapes, I've had a few dresses that I've kept and then felt after a couple of wears were ugly.

I used to love their knitwear but the last few years the quality hasn't been the same, I've got cashmere from 2 years ago that is in worse condition than the 10 year old stuff.

It work for Boden from a profit perspective but the quality clearly isn't the same as it was when they were a smaller outfit.

I like the Rita dress too Polly, as I have a few of this shape from previous seasons which are great. Wish they did it with long sleeves though - this is meant to be a winter collection after all Confused.

I think the reasoning behind short sleeves is to make us buy cardigans :)

Yep Smile.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaay Boden in John Lewis Southampton!!!

So I can go and try all the stuff on and then buy the bits I like in the sale.

I find it impossible to buy trousers and shoes online.

I kind of love the annual Boden trashing! Grin

No boden concessions in the north then.

The Edith skirt (sadly link I posted doesn't work now) came almost a month early and... it's beautiful.
Gorgeous details (ribbon appliqué in red velvet and navy grosgrain, navy frogging/bobbles!), true super dark navy - so J Crew/Uniqlo dark navy. I'm stunned. Good weight to the fabric. I moaned that I thought it was pricey, it actually wasn't pricey enough.

One caveat - it is distinctive, so while it doesn't scream Boden yet, it might (but I don't live in the U.K. so not an issue).

I used to try and recreate that album cover with my boyfriend as well! I loved that album. I loved the boyfriend to, who was a sad, depressed philosopher type, but I decided he was too wearing as a long term proposition. Didn't have the coat though, I wore an old fur coat of my grandma's. A bit embarrassed to admit that now, though the coat was 50 when I got it, and it was very warm.

Sorry, derails thread completely, but I'm rather tickled by the thought of us all wanting about pretending to be with Bob Dylan Grin
