Shaving your (bastard) legs in the shower

It was fine when I had a shower over the bath. I just plonked my foot on the edge of the bath an shaved my legs. Easy.

But now we have a shower cubicle, no foot ledge, so I find myself standing on one leg, the other swaying perilously, contorting and blindly hacking into my ankles and completely missing the fiddly bit where you have to use your left hand on your right leg.

Best solution so far is an upturned plastic jug as a foot prop, using the baby bath seat as a foot prop in a 1mx1m shower cubicle as not a good solution and will not be repeated.

Am I missing something obvious or is this just my life now?

I do what dona said. Much easier and I need my glasses. Last time I did them in the shower I hacked them to pieces due to blindness.

Waxing is the answer

I use those Venus Olay blades that you don't need shaving foam etc with. Just shave wet legs. Much handier.

I always use conditioner, got loads leftover as never use it on my hair anymore.

Shower seat?

MaitlandGirl · 31/07/2017 03:48

I've got a terrible back and use a plastic garden chair to put my leg on so I don't have to bend down (plus I'd suffocate in my boobs if I could physically bend over!!).

If your shower isn't big enough to keep the chair in permanently just pull it in when you're about to shave your legs.

I second the shower seat idea. I had to get one when I slipped a disc and couldn't stand easily.

Now it's just incredibly useful. Handy seat in the bathroom most of the time. But it goes back into the cubicle for complicated grooming manoeuvres with razors or hair dye.

I use the olay? shaved thing with the built in foam block. not cheap but often on offer. the easiest way I have found to do it

If you can, drop the shower head height as low as possible and then angle it to flow down the wall. Sit on the floor to shave. Small cubicles are crap for leg shaving. The best ones I've seen have a broad ledge you can sit on.
