Dress for my daughter for weddings. How to wear it?

So, this is a baby related fashion dilemma Grin

I'm going to buy this dress for my daughter to wear to a couple of weddings.

She's 14 months. I think I'd like her to wear some thin, ivory tights and ivory shoes. Would that work with this dress or would it need to be socks?

Singles dress is gorgeous though. The feedback about polyester lining is worth considering op - having read that I probably wouldn't get a dress with polyester lining.

How lovely to see a little girl dressed like a proper little girl, she will look gorgeous. If you can't dress her up for a wedding when can you ? not that it matters what I think as you didn't ask the opinion on the dress . I would put lovely frilly socks on with it.

You haven't asked if we like the dress despite the fact that people have waded in with some rather unpleasant opinions. I think it is lovely. I would choose ankle socks.

I supported you over there before the thread was deleted, but I'm here now to look at the pic of the dress. It's lovely and she'll really enjoy wearing it at the wedding.Smile
I'd first thought tights but actually, now I've seen the dress, socks would be fine, too.Flowers

The dress is beautiful!! Definitely not OTT. I would go for socks as tights will probably be warm & uncomfortable in the summer. She will look gorgeous. Flowers

Beautiful dress OP. I'd probably dress her in the tights and bring the ankle socks in case the tights get dirty / fall down.

I'd look for a lighter, more comfortable looking outfit. Looks like something off of one of those old TVs shows with the kids in those OTT dresses. Looks itchy.

Glowbug this isn't a thread about whether or not you like the dress, it's about whether it should be worn with tights or socks. I'm not interested in whether you like the dress or not.

Looks uncomfy and is not my taste, but then I would hate to wear polyester next to my skin all day but if you like it, I would get socks.

Simply because she's only just figuring out how to walk. If she were a few months older, they'd have both been flower girls.
