I'm going back to university in September and would like to update my wardrobe, ATM I either have really smart clothes (for work) or super scruffy clothes (for taking toddler DS to the playground etc.) but not much in between...it doesn't help that breastfeeding has made me really skinny and most of my old 'normal' clothes hang off me.

What are nice but grown up casual clothes for lectures and to look less scruffy on my SAHM days? Budget is not much as I'm soon to be a student again (eBay/new look/hm etc).

I'm 29, short and a small size 8 and have completely lost my way clothes wise since having DS Confused

Congratulations on returning to uni. If I could do uni days again ( long distant memory) would but a couple pairs jeans, some comfy sneakers, a pair Birkenstocks, lots scarfs in different prints/ plain - natural fibres. Try charity shops and I 'd scale the charity shops for a big old fashioned 60's coat made wool. Also big jumpers charity shops - visit the posh area shops
Uni has probably changed but you want to look quirky and thoughtful and a bit mistarious.
Wear a bright reds lipsticks and have fun!
