Good kirby grips?

Does anyone know where I can get good kirby grips? I have fairly thick hair which I pin back into a bun, but all the grips I've bought recently have either not been strong enough to hold the hair or have lost their grip after using them once.

Any time I've had my hair put up by hairdressers, the grips they used have lasted for absolutely ages. I've lost them all now through. Does anyone know where I could get 'hairdresser grade' grips, if there is such a thing?!

Are you putting them in with the wavy bit facing down?

ItsNiceItsDifferentItsUnusual · 27/07/2017 21:32

No! Am I meant to?

Give Superdrug grips a miss they are terrible. H&M are cheap and do the job and yes as mentioned above the wavy bit faces down.

I got the strong grips from Sally hair and beauty, they're quite good.

TupperwareTat · 27/07/2017 21:51

I was just about to ask if you have them the right way round!

Sallys are good. I only need a couple and keeps my hair in place for hours

I've actually gone out with them in and gone to work next day still in
