I love the colour and it's plain but I'm not sure about the one shoulder. I'm 50, 5'2 and size 12. Shoulder length, light auburn hair. What do you think and what accessories?

I really like it - elegant and Grecian, and a great colour for your hair. I'd put your hair up in a French twist to keep the simple and elegant style, and wear maybe chandelier type earrings - in silver.

LoniceraJaponica · 27/07/2017 09:16

That's a beautiful dress. Elegant and understated.

Wilburissomepig · 27/07/2017 09:38

I have gold chandelier earrings Lobster and gold sandals but I suspected silver might be better. I'm trying to decide whether to buy a dress to match the shoes or go all out and buy everything new. I have until October to put it all together so a bit of time to save some ££!

Beautiful Smile

paap1975 · 27/07/2017 09:43

I think it's lovely. Also, it would be fine with either gold or silver

Lobsterquadrille2 · 27/07/2017 09:45

Hi OP, it's a dark enough green that gold would probably be OK - I automatically said silver because it's a cool colour. Annoying that the pink version has been so dramatically reduced (although not your size anyway). Have a look around and come back to it if you can't find anything you prefer - then you can feel confident that your initial choice was the right one.

PovertyJetset · 27/07/2017 09:46

That is very beautiful.

RebelandaStunner · 27/07/2017 09:47

Like it.

Bluntness100 · 27/07/2017 09:47

I think it's lovely and gold would be better, but I think you'd need to wear some towering heels as otherwise it would be too long, unless you intend to take it up?

Didiusfalco · 27/07/2017 09:50

Beautiful dress, simple and elegant. Would look great with gold earrings.

Wilburissomepig · 27/07/2017 10:12

I think I would have to have it taken up Bluntness, towering heels are a big NO for me. Grin

It's beautiful and should suit you perfectly with your colouring.

crazyhorses3 · 27/07/2017 10:18

Really nice dress.

SnowiestMountain · 27/07/2017 10:21

Yep lovely

Tia4 · 27/07/2017 10:25

Gorgeous dress and the colour will be perfect against auburn hair! I think gold accessories would be lovely. Will you wear a pashmina or shawl of some sort? I am struggling to decide on a dress for a black tie wedding. The one I love is simple, black and perfect style for me but is wearing black OK? I've never been to any black tie events.

Wilburissomepig · 27/07/2017 10:27

Tia I've only every worn black to a black tie event previously so I hope so! Grin

I would need something to wear as a cover up in October but I'm not sure what would work?

tigerdriverII · 27/07/2017 10:29

Lovely, and gold would work well. Some sort of pashmina over the shoulders if needed

Liiinoo · 27/07/2017 13:41

It's lovely, elegant but not elderly and a great colour. I agree with gold accessories rather than silver and having it altered will be essential.

Phase Eight are great at doing green dresses and tops, I have several purchased over the years and they always get compliments.

So beautiful! Very jealous Smile
