I need help with an interview outfit

I have 2 interviews next week (on the same day......eeeek!!). I haven't had an interview for years, and I'm currently going through a career change so the fact I've got as far as an interview is such an achievement. I need an outfit. I have tried on so many and nothing is right. They either don't suit my body shape, are the wrong length, or look too frumpy. Does anyone have any suggestions.

My details - I am a size 16 with a huge stomach (currently on maternity leave, I can still use that for a while!), hips and a generous sized backside, my boobs are a pretty decent size too. I did have a waist but that seems to have vanished recently unfortunately. My stomach is pretty bloated and needs hiding away. I'm 33, don't have a massive budget and need somewhere where I can have home delivery (pretty quick!). I don't fancy dragging my 4 year old and 7 month old around shops!

Please help! Thank you.

What industry and what level are you interviewing for? Ie do you need to be formal, suited and booted, or is more casual OK?

Brighteyes27 · 25/07/2017 21:15

I would have a look at NEXT and order a few items they deliver quite quickly or ASOS probably go for a plain dress or skirt and top trousers and top as it's so warm this time of year unless a very formal environment you can probably forego a jacket.

They're both finance positions, finance assistant and payroll clerk.

I've already ordered and returned half of the next catalogue! They just don't seem to suit me. I've had 2 arrive today that are possibilities, but not great. I find a lot of the workwear dresses are 'pencil' style, which just emphasises my gigantic belly!

Thank you for looking tartle. The first asos is too short, whilst the second is a slim cut. I do appreciate your effort. It is so difficult! I will have a look at Warehouse and Monsoon for suggestions (unless losing 2-3 dress sizes in a week will work!!!Wink).

How about this with some interesting jewellry to lift it

This with a plain black blazer or cardigan over it

If colour suits you and wrap doesn't gape, could be a flattering shape

Great play on traditional pin stripes

LBD

Bargain

Maybe too heavy if it's hot where you are. I wouldn't put a shirt under it either, personally

Simple but flattering

Any of these catch your eye?

Dresses are easier at looking "put together" IMHO, but shout if you would definitely prefer separates

I am a size 16-18 and recently started a new job. I ordered this dress from Debenhams and it is fab. Really cheap, no need to iron and looks really smart, have had loads of compliments.

((www.monki.com/gb/Dresses/Shirt_dress/27338-23323810.1#c-51081)) I am the same size as you and LOVE this Monki shirt dress, it's my saving grace. Looks much smarter than it does on the website, esp with collar done up, looks great with heels or flats, doesn't need ironing, looks fab with a blazer over the top. It is big fitting so Medium should be ok.

I've just ordered this dress from Debenhams to be delivered Thursday. What do you guys think? Obviously need to try it on to be sure. Will check through the other links now.
