The Ordinary - how do I figure it out?

I currently use Neostrata, twice a day. Wash, serum and moisturiser. I slap on an SPF too in the morning.

I have dry skin, not a lot of spots, hardly deep wrinkles. I'm nearly 40.

Any idea where to start with the ordinary products? It could potentially save me £££ every few months.

Too good to be true?

Trinny did a good YT video but I can't see it now. This one's pretty good too

I haven't actually got around to ordering yet though!

Thank you. I think I need a chemistry degree!

I have a few of the products and can tell you about those. On the ordinary website there is a regimen guide and a guide to vitamin c, although I too find it hard to work out which products will do the best good. theordinary.com/regimenguide theordinary.com/vitcguide

I have the buffet serum which I quite like. Isn't too gloopy and doesn't bring me out in a rash. I have the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA moisturiser which I really like. Again it isn't gunky and really moisturises. I've found it so much better than the likes of Clinique as the ordinary stuff doesn't have silicones in it as far as I know.

The 100% Plant-Derived Squalane, went in the bin. It's an oil but supposedly doesn't block pores. It blocked mine and it didn't sink in all that well. I didn't like it.

I intend to buy the Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% as I have easily congested skin and this is supposed to help with that.

For ageing skin I would recommend the advanced retinoid serum (helps re-surfacing) followed by rose hip oil (plumping, great for wrinkles) on an evening, and on a morning the buffet serum (good all rounder) then Natural moisturising factors with HA (nice light moisturiser) good luck!

E-mail Victoria Health and they will recommend products tailored to you. My skin has been transformed since using The Ordinary products.

I've messaged them on Instagram telling them my skin issues and they replied back in under 30 mins with a regimen to try Smile now I just need to find the products in stock somewhere!
