Sucker in pants

Need to be able to buy some tomorrow. Have access to the usual John Lewis, M&S etc. Don't need to look thinner, just a bit smoother and want something comfortable enough to wear all day. Does such an item exist, please?

I've tried a few brands but nothing beats Spanx in my opinion.

The M&S ones which come up under your boobs and are big arse pants at the back are amazing

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/07/2017 20:02

Link to the M&S ones, please?

I've looked at Spanx before but can't make any sense of the sizing. Any tips?

And are they really comfortable enough to wear all day?

Following Wink

I'm an 8 and buy size A. I'm sure there's a conversion chart somewhere, I'll have a look.
Yes, I wear mine all day. I normally wear the Higher Power ones but I also have the knicker type high waisted ones for under tight dresses.

It looks like the sizing has changed now and is in XS, S etc. I found this if it helps

Thank you. I'm a 12 to 14, so looks like I'd need a Large. Sob - never been 'Large' in my life before. :(

I'd personally go for M as they're stretchy. A bit of a manoeuvre is needed to get them on but they aren't so tight that you can't move around normally.
Also, I bought some from Amazon and they're fake so be careful.
Got 2 pairs from QVC for a bargain price.

I have to chip in and say, I'm not a fan of Spanx pants. It's not that they don't do the job - they do it well - but they're a bugger to get on and I've even torn them a couple of times in the process. I normally just buy whatever brand TK Maxx are selling.

But I do lurve Spanx tights which TK Maxx also stock from time to time. They're opaques so something to look out for in the autumn. Sometimes they're footless which is a nuisance but nothing a decent pair of ankle boots won't sort out.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/07/2017 10:31

I'll have a look in TK Maxx. I definitely don't want a fight getting in or out of them. I usually buy the M&S sucker in tights, which work well for me, but it's going to be too warm for tights, hence the pants quest.

Ten Cate from Debenhams are smoothing and made of cotton

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 26/07/2017 18:40

Thank you. Cotton is good!
