Using touch of silver on my hair. Just seems to have dulled the blonde and the bits of grey I have aren't particularly lavender coloured.

Alright if my hair had been brassy which it wasn't .

Hopefully the next wash will rinse it out
It's all my hairdresser uses on her ( greying) hair and she's a sort of dirty blonde colour.

I wish I knew a blonde product that would shampoo in and just pick up the grey and just brighten my blonde streaks.

Does anyone know of such a thing. It would be quite semi permanent if there is one.

You could have a look on "Superdrug" website and read the reviews. That is how I buy most things.if the reviews are good overall.

Fudge purple shampoo and conditioner. It's expensive but it's the best product!

I get it from amazon.

But aren't I just going to end up with more dull looking hair Lola
Was thinking someone might know of a semi permanent blonde
(Goes to look at Superdrug reviews.)

Did nothing replace harmony.
That's kind of what I'm looking for.
Something that won't 'dye' the brown, that will pick up th grey , and won't change the streaks too much

Does anything like that exist?

Just had a look at " boots " website. There is " bleach shampoo" £6.50. For 250 ml.
Loads of reviews for you to get an idea.
if I'm on the right lines

Which touch of silver was it? there are 2 different shampoos, I like the very, very purple one in the little bottle that you are only supposed to use a couple of times a week. I'm not grey but and naturally burnette and dyed blonde at the minute, it keeps my blonde clean and not brassy. I've also used the joico one, which is nice but expensive.

The John Freida "brilliantly brighter" and "sheer blonde, go blonder" products are good.

rizlett · 25/07/2017 14:57

I've always used 'sun in' on my hair. I did try a couple of 'silver' purple shampoo & conditioners but they made me look too silver/grey.

BumbleNova · 25/07/2017 14:58

Have you tried the John Frieda in shower brightener? this one:

it smells quite strongly but it definitely makes me blonder. I'm like most natural blondes and get darker over winter, it really makes a difference. No idea what it does to grey though.

If you just want to brighten your highlights and lift your grey you need a toner. Any of the toning shampoos will give a subtle lift or for a bolder effect try Bleach London White Toner; a semi permanent toner that whitens blonde without the purple hue.

Supergroup Colour Effects in Cool Blonde will give a similar effect, although that's a wash in, wash out treatment. Use instead of shampoo, leave for 5 mins and rinse.
