Yes, I thought of Diane Keaton too.

I must admit this is a look I aspire too but never achieve.

Have just ordered two pairs of wide legged trousers on the basis of this thread.

And now I want a waistcoat.

It's not about body type or any other physical quality imo. It's about being playful with clothes across sex/gender divides
I agree and I've always been a fan of the androgynous look

Mandelinka · 23/07/2017 07:00

I love Ellen DeGeneres style. And of course Diane Keaton

I think for androgynous styles patterns are a no, also only neutral colours grey, navy, charcoal, white, khaki etc. And being slim makes the clothes look better.

dudsville · 23/07/2017 07:25

I think this might be my style. Or one I lean towards without realising until this thread. I'm not stick thin but curvy so it never occurred to me.

Floisme · 23/07/2017 08:11

I don't stick to neutrals - most of them don't suit me.

Jane Birkin.

Italian men on the sartorialist are just perfect
For me: uniqlo and cos

Floisme · 23/07/2017 08:48

Actually now I think about it, the last time I was into the look, I did wear mostly black. So that's something else I'm doing differently this time. In fact I'm not really doing it 'properly' at all - I just like men's trousers.

Whatever the question is, Isabella Rossellini is quite often the answer.

Yasmin Le Bon doesn't have a signature look but has been known to dip into the 'I'm wearing my boyfriend's clothes' look successfully.
