Wide leg trousers, what footwear?

Loving wearing these this summer, so comfy and yet smart enough for work. Easy to wear with sandals.
I don't do heels (or any shoe without a strap ) so never feel like I can wear them in the winter, any one else? Any ideas?

Would brogues work for you? No strap but supportive and good with wide leg trousers.

I love them too - so pleased they're back - and I never wear heels either. In the autumn I'll wear them full length with brogues. And socks. I'm sick of this business about not wearing socks with your shoes.
But much as I love them, I'll probably give them a swerve for winter. I don't think they work so well in really bad weather.

Can you link to some please?I've rediscovered them this summer too, have some lovely lightweight ones and would like some heavier ones for autumn with brogues.

My heavier weight / longer ones are all either second hand or from the back of my own cupboard so far, which isn't much use for links I'm afraid. I think it's still mainly the lightwieght / cropped ones in the shops at the moment but I'm going to keep an eye on Cos, Toast, Uniqlo and M&S Autograph.

We are hundred of miles from the nearest Cos sadly but Toast is a good call. I noticed them in our local JL the other day.
I've given u trying to buy trousers online.

Cropped, wide leg trousers are my favourite thing. I bought my first pair at the end of February and wore crocheted tights underneath, then nude fishnets as it got a bit milder, but still too chilly for bare legs. Feet-wise I wear trainers or brogues, but sadly I can't see them working for me with boots.

Ah, brogues, thank you 😀 Will investigate.
The trousers I have are the nearest thing to wearing pjs in public
