I have only a basic routine which I'm crap at sticking too! I have normal skin but my chin and nose get oily I'm 33 so have the first signs of ageing and also I have large pores on my nose and cheeks. I have eye bags too, I'd like to address them.

This is what I do when I remember!

Superdrug bit e hot cloth cleanser once a week
Garner rose water cleanser and toner
Aldi eye gel
Body shop vit e oil in serum once a week
Nivea cellular day cream
And that's it!! My friend told me I need sort it out lol

Budget is up to 20quid per item

Have you had a look at Caroline Hirons blog? I know some swear by her and some hate her.. But I think if you can pick and choose what she suggests based on your skin type and budget, then she isn't so bad.

On a good day, this is what I do...

  1. Cleanse with jojoba oil and face muslin (similar to what you do with the superdrug stuff, but on a daily basis) I started having multiple skin issues a few years back amd that's when I tried the oil cleansing method.. Tried a few oils and settled on jojoba and suddenly my skin was all better
  2. On a very very good day, I will follow this up with a second cleanse (as suggested by Caroline)... The second one should be with a lotion based cleanser.. I like the bodyshop vit e cleanser... But this is a step I rarely do!
  3. Acid based toner.. I use the pixi glow one and then about twice a week use the clarins clarifying toner instead (the clarins one is stronger and is not supposed to be used more than 2 times a week)
  4. Rosehip oil on face and neck.. This is my night cream substitute. Ideally I sjould use some sort of serum, but I am mot really sure what they do and which one I need Confused

That's my night routine.

Morning, i wash face with a soap free face wash, followed by hydrating toner (bodyshop vit e one is good), followed by day cream and sunscreen

Hope this helps :)

Minimum
Cleanse twice a day, every single day with a gentle, non foaming cleanser. The Superdrug one is fine, or something like la Roche posay toleriane dermo
Moisturise with something, twice a day, every day
SPF. Every day in the morning

Once you've got this routine I would add in a retinol but you need to use SPF every single day. I believe the ordinary caffeine thing is pretty good for eyes. Make sure you're getting sleep and enough water

If you go to the fantastic skincare thread on here there's some routine links with basics on the first post
