Facial Acupuncture

A friend is having a course of facial acupuncture. She looks amazing (even though she has one more session to go to). I'm really tempted to follow suit. Are there any risks associated? Is there anyone on Mumsnet who's had it and can they tell me how long the effects last and if there are any negatives. Does it hurt?

I've had it a few times and it pinches a little bit with the needles go in but that was it. As long as the person is properly trained, and is a registered acupuncturist it is very safe. Make sure they are registered with a proper body. I did get a small bruise once on my face but it soon went. I found it surprisingly relaxing but tickly as I am a bit of a needle wuss.

Particularly not tickly!
