My upper lip just won't stop sweating!! It's so so embarrassing! Please tell me how to make it stop my make up doesn't last two minutes it's really getting me down now. I have what I think although everyone else says I'm paranoid a really hairy face too. I'm very very fair so it doesn't look obvious but I know it's there and it looks like a moustache in the right wrong light...Sad

A good primer, then a light layer of powder on top before foundation (sounds weird but works!) I use Laura mercier translucent powder, a good foundation with staying power like double wear ect then 'bake' the area where you are prone to sweating, then setting powder, I have the same problem and this works a treat for me! Seems like a lot of faff but it works

In hot climates or if I'm going to be getting sweaty, I always lightly mist my face with aerosol deodorant after applying makeup, it works brilliantly and keeps makeup in place all day. Just remember to hold your breath and close your eyes whilst spraying if you try it!

LoupGarou · 20/07/2017 11:26

Should have added if I'm not wearing makeup I spray it into my skin after moisturiser.

thing1andthing3 · 20/07/2017 11:34

Well I thought of doing that but was scared of it being classed as substance abuse or like it was one of those things I do that's a really stupid idea Grinbut if someone else advises it I feel better haha!!

Well can I add a disclaimer of someone recommended it to me? Grin It does work really well, I have very sensitive skin and struggle to find any kind of setting spray which didn't irritate my skin. In colder weather I use hairspray as setting spray, which again works brilliantly. Neither option clogs my skin, or dry it out but both hold makeup all day and some.

Does the spray antiperspirant not leave a white residue?

Groupie123 · 20/07/2017 11:46

Don't wear powder - those of us who sweat will often just get blocked pores from it. Use primer, a light oil free foundation/concealer (BB cream is the best) and then use a make up setting spray (Nyx do one I think). Then use blotting paper through the day.

LoupGarou · 20/07/2017 11:47

No Kung it doesn't, and I would notice as I have olive skin. I use mitchum spray, which is just the one I use for my armpits, and I spray very lightly, as if you were spraying a cloud of perfume to walk through iyswim. I spray from about 40cm distance from my face and just do a light mist.

Face saver gel (I think it's called!) which you can get from amazon is a facial anti perspirant and works a treat!

thing1andthing3 · 20/07/2017 13:03

Lily Lolo powder is good.

Lottapianos · 20/07/2017 13:15

I used to have an extremely sweaty face. I had an overactive thyroid gland at the time. Since I had it treated, sweating is back to totally normal levels Smile

The sweatiness combined with a lot of hair on your face makes me think that it might be worth getting your thyroxine levels checked

RosieCockle · 21/07/2017 10:57

Oh yes, that Face Saver gel really does work. It's just what you're looking for I think.
