Tell me which trainers to buy, o wise ones

as these (which I loved) have worn right out and are no longer available without paying £££ or I would buy another pair just the same [sob]

Not for sport or anything, just for casual wear and fitting my big fat feet and orthotics in. Need to be leather for water- and spillage-proofness, somewhere on the brown / green spectrum, could spend up to £70 if they'll last four years like those did.

Looking at Merrell
Geox (look a bit too sporty)
K Swiss (are these any good? sound awfully trendy Hmm)
diferent sort of Timberlands

Give me your wisdom!

My Dad has those Merrells in several different colourways, smart shoes that will last a long time. Bargain price too!

The Geox and Timberlands are ok, the K Swiss ones not so much.

Sorry, just realised you may be a woman. The Merrells are neat enough that they'd look good on a woman, they don't shout manly, just a nice neutral shoe.

hah, yes, I am a woman but am tall with big wide feet and nostalgia for my student Gazelles.

(when I bought the Timberlands pictured, after watching me spend ages trying lots of different ones, the till assistant looked and me, looked at the trainers and said in a low voice 'You do realise these are men's shoes, don't you?'
I am ashamed to say I said 'Oh no! Are they? Quick, let me swap them for pink ones with glitter on!')

I have men's walking boots and trainers for the wide fit. I like the look of the geox ones best for everyday use. The merrels are a bargain but they look too much like walking shoes for everyday use, IMO. K Swiss look like golf shoes to me for some reason.

Geox out of all on your list.
