What shoes to wear with this...

It's a maxi but I'm five foot three and need height (getting it shortened too). What shoe could I wear? It's for my baby's christening so lots of photos .

I'm having it shortened slightly so the front of my shoes will show. Not sue if I should choose blue or white?

Thanks , I didn't know if I should pick white to go with the detail. RealLy don't want to spend much either
