Wedding hair help

I'm getting married in September, I've been growing my hair for ages to have it long enough to wear up, but I never wear my hair up and I hate it this long! Would it be really boring if I cut it back to the length I love(just above shoulder) and wore it down and straight for the wedding? I have a full length veil and a little comb piece so I'd probably pull some back to hold them. I just can't decide what to do! Help!!

I have a pic of me in dress, no face. Can post if it helps!

On your wedding day it is important to be comfortable. If wearing your hair up is not for you then don't do it.

Thanks @Maverick66 that's what I'm thinking.... Maybe just shorter and down

Yes if that is what you are most comfortable with. Better have shiny glossy hair down as an up do that really isn't you.

Personally I think she looked fab and natural rather than forced and false with numerous intricate ringlets and pins etc .

lorelairoryemily · 19/07/2017 23:01

I agree. She looked so natural, I'm a hairdresser and I'm so sick of curls, curly up styles etc, I just want to look like me!

Go for it! Where I live in Ireland upstyles for weddings are becoming more and more elaborate and that includes the guests! It's all hair pieces and bits added in. They seem to have taken over from fascinators 🤔

I didn't have my hair up neither did my sister. Do what you are comfortable with Smile

@Maverick66 I'm in Ireland too, and I know exactly what you mean!!
