Nice matching underwear with 'big pants'

chasegirl · 19/07/2017 13:05

Hot date coming up soon so I am looking for a nice new matching underwear set but I want relatively comfy pants that cover my lower tummy (bit saggy there) not thongs or other teeny low slung pants.

Can I find any? No chance! So am asking for help looking.

I am 46. Bra size 34b (0r sometimes an A) size 10

Freya.

Wearing some now. Blue with a leafy design. Pleasingly big knickers.

chasegirl · 19/07/2017 15:08

Will have a look thanks. Just need some big enough to tuck the skin into :-(

The Wonderbra Refined Glamour range has some short style ones which are t really shorts but just bigger pants. Size up as they're a small fit. I'm a 12 and got the large. The balcony bra from that range is a great fitting bra too.

Cakescakescakes · 19/07/2017 15:55

Try the Wonderbra website. All seems to be on sale at the minute.

Or available in Debenhams, House of Fraser etc. You'd prob be a B in the bras as smallish cup wise.

What Katy Did has nice big knickers but it's not to everyone's taste as it's vintage style (lots of bullet bras). Bit on the privy side though.

NoddysBell · 19/07/2017 16:04

*PRICEY. Not privy.

chasegirl · 19/07/2017 16:44

Brilliant thank you. I just need to feel secure if you get me :-)

Everywhere I gave tried up to now seem to only have things or 'shallow' briefs. No good for me anymore

I have no idea on the matching sets I'm afraid.

Are you sure you have the right bra size? My size 12 sister is a 30 back.

chasegirl · 19/07/2017 17:04

That's what the tape measure says but maybe I am not measuring the right place. Am doing it just under my breasts. Have tried a 32 before but that was way too tight

TrashPanda · 19/07/2017 17:23

You may be wearing the right size, just thought I'd suggest it as it changed my sisters shape completely when she started wearing the right size. I'll see if I can find the link to how to measure.

TrashPanda · 19/07/2017 17:28

This is the one we used thebetterbracampaign.blogspot.co.uk/p/fitting-advice.html?m=1

SerfTerf · 19/07/2017 17:32

"Vintage briefs" or "Retro briefs" are definitely the search terms you need. There are more of those styles around now than there used to be.

Anything here?

chasegirl · 19/07/2017 17:47

Wow some of those are ..ahem...interesting 😁 . Especially the first 1. Some lovely sets too will have a good look thank you.

Might remeasure myself too with that link see if I end up the same size

Yes, sorry I should have issued an "eyeful" warning Grin It's a wide range though. I wish I could think of a good reason for a ruffled bottom Smile

chasegirl · 19/07/2017 21:21

Ok measuring complete I might be a 32b

OP posts:
TrashPanda · 19/07/2017 21:35

I did the measuring and I'm at 26/28C/D depending on brand and style. The most helpful thing, was trying the bra on back to front and seeing how far away from my body I could pull it. More than a cm or so is probably too big. My boobs are so small I've given up on bras completely and just wear these
