Phase 8 dress... Yay or nay?

Do you think this would be nice for a wedding guest? I am 40, but have always thought of phase 8 as "older" and a bit staid. However it fits nicely and was really well reduced. Also, if I keep it, I wont have to traipse around town trying more things on. I was considering gold or black shoes and dont think it needs jewellery... But am open to suggestions for shoes/accessories

I don't love the colour but I have a bit of a thing about hating bottle-green as it was my uniform years ago...

I think it's a lovely dress and very flattering.

I would go a bit clashy/wild with accessory colours but that's just my preference. Like the idea of gold for the shoes as long as you could make them really fabulous. Or emerald-green shoes?

I'd tried phase 8 a while back but felt all their things lacked structure. This however is a beautiful dress. I how you feel great in it and have a lovely time!

Phase eight can veer into frumpville but that dress is very nice.

I'd make sure I had a very lovely clutch bag and some nice heels and this could be lush x

CorporalNobbyNobs, it definately wont be too long on you... I am only 5 ft 2 and it is knee length on me.

Y'see this is one of the things that confuses the hell out of me.

The dress is knee length on the model in the photos. She's listed as being 5'9.

If you're 5'2, i.e. 7 inches shorter, how can it be knee length on you as well?

Do they Photoshop the pics? Is it up round her arse in real life?

Nice! Phase Eight doesn't suit me - they're stuff is not cut to suit my figure, weirdly. But I like their stuff.

Corporal... I would say it is true to size. I am a size 10... 5"2, 8 stone 10 lbs, boobs and thunderthighs but with a small waist. As for the length thing... It is a mystery, but it is exactly on my knee. I would guess it would be a few inches above the knee on you.

Gorgeous dress. I'd be tempted to have brighter greens and blues in my accessories.

Agree about the weirdness of models and sizing, I do wonder about what they say about the model's size sometimes, it doesn't match up with the reality of how I look in clothes sometimes, especially as you say hemlines but also even sizing.
