Help with bag styles please

I need some help in deciding what kind of work bag to get. I normally go for totes, slouchy hobo types or horrid practical back packs.

However I have totally broken my shoulders, chest and back. I was told by a physio ages ago to carry the minimum but I ignored him and am reaping the rewards.

I therefore have to really size down. Big enough for keys, 2xphones, purse, inhaler, tampons, tissues and lipstick really. Possible small notebook and/or kindle.

I want either tan or chocolate leather. Needs to look smart and professional.

I can't settle on style. I don't find cross body bags smart enough and find lots of small handbags quite Mrs Thatcher.

Can anyone suggest anything? I am a little cash strapped so cheaper/high street leather.

The obvious solution is just to put less in my bag. Sadly I just don't. I have tried but I can't.

have you looked at Healthy Back Bags?

Leather backpacks are fashionable at the moment.

Can you get away with a messenger bag or are they bad for the back?

I love leather backpacks. I was in John Lewis earlier and saw a few new ones being put out. I'm sure they'll be up on the website soon enough. I think the smaller ones look smartest.

Actually I do love a small backpack. Will take a look at what is just coming in, thanks.
