Does this top work with this skirt?

I've got some weddings coming up and I'm going to be about 8 weeks pp. I'm also bf so have been trying to come up with flatteringish outfit ideas.

I'm not a small girl (5 foot 6, size 16/18, 34H boobs) and I'm crap at putting outfits together.

Saw this skirt and loved how swishy it was and thought this grey body would fit well underneath and can be fed in.

However my colour palettes aren't something I'm renowned for. I would have paired it with white but being a wedding and having small children....

Thoughts? I was thinking grey sandals with it.

Grey and yellow are a lovely combination, and the shape of the top is good for anybody well blessed in the chest region. So I think you've done well.

Yay! Thank you!

It's so hard after being pregnant for ages to know what will and won't work.

Absolutely love it! I might follow your lead and buy both myself! :)

twotwofour · 18/07/2017 12:38

Love love love that colour combo. Go for it.

Will your bra be on show? Slashed tops are usually best on reasonably flat-chested types, who don't need a bra. That looks as if it's slashed to just above the waist so might be an issue.

myusernameisnotmyusername · 18/07/2017 12:51

I like it much more than the white top with it in the asos picture.

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 18/07/2017 12:52

That top is very low cut for a wedding. Personally I wouldn't do it unless I had something on underneath, but that might ruin the look of the top.

Great colours though.

BexleyRae · 18/07/2017 12:57

I think that will look lovely. I want an excuse to buy the same outfit now

RickOShay · 18/07/2017 13:35

Absolutely gorgeous. Love yellow and grey.

onlyhumanafterall · 18/07/2017 13:38

Lovely. Silver sandals?

glitterglitters · 18/07/2017 13:50

I'm going to take a look at the top before deciding what to wear with it. I'm thinking either crop top or fastening a popper to it so still accessible for feeding but without too much "on show". I've seen another lady wearing it and she's not as busty as me but the cross over/wrap affect seems to be less dramatic that. The images suggest.

And yes! I was thinking silver sandles too.

I've bought a back up dress too. Just in case Grin

Just athought: if you're bf, won't you have to get your whole boob out in a body or a dress? I know people have different bf styles, but up and under is less exposing for a big occasion like a wedding.

glitterglitters · 18/07/2017 14:18

I'll be taking a big muslin for one and at the other wedding I've been given free reign of the brides dressing room if I want it (plus that's immediate family so they don't care lol )

Second baby so I'm a practiced now anyway.

I think its beautiful and I would probably add a popper like you suggest just to make sure it's not too low (eqaully large of nork myself). Can I ask where the top is from I could do with one for a skirt I have thats the same.

glitterglitters · 18/07/2017 18:34

Ok first of all your name is amazing @Nyancat 😂 I've now got to go watch that on YouTube and its Boohoo. And I shall go grab the link x

Thank you glitters!

WipsGlitter · 18/07/2017 20:09

That dress is lovely too!

CakeNinja · 18/07/2017 22:39

Looks really lovely! Agree that a popper might might make it more 'wedding approprate', but that's personal choice. Really nice choice though.

0ccamsRazor · 19/07/2017 10:33

You are going to look really good Op, lovely choices.

glitterglitters · 20/07/2017 16:03

Wahhhh it arrived and the skirt sat in totally the wrong place. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

It did look nice together though.
