Grey cardigan

Hi everyone, I'm after a lovely, expensive looking grey cardigan ready for autumn, willing to pay £50+ for a nice soft one. Not quite sure exactly the style but something that drapes nicely, maybe a boyfriend cardigan but nothing that looks cheap. Any ideas?

Sorry, I know it's boring but....? Smile

I found a cashmere one just as you describe in TK Maxx, might be worth having a look there?

Uniqlo or andother stories. Uniqlo more classic, andotherstories younger and trendier.

The White company has some nice ones.

I have the Jigsaw one with bar fastener at the neckline. It is glorious but quite spendy.

This is at the + end of £50+ but I'm saving for this one from Celtic and Co It's shown here in navy but they also do it in dark grey.

I got one of their Geelong wool jumpers in a second hand shop and it's possibly the nicest, snuggliest jumper I've ever had. Made in the UK too. There's also a shorter and slightly cheaper version here

My only concern is the mention of lambswool of which I have itchy memories. I'm crossing my fingers that merino lambswool is softer.

Floisme Celtic and Co are a hidden gem for knitwear, I've had a few things from them, all wash and wear brilliantly, and don't bobble at all. Plus mostly made in Great Britain for those bemoaning the loss of locally made quality products. The catalogue has a somewhat conservative look and styling, but lots of it wouldn't look out of place in Whistles or Jigsaw (style wise, far superior quality).

OP, I'd say you're a month or two early for the AW drops of knitwear, really all that's selling now is the dregs of last winter and lots of the knitwear will be a cotton mix or MMF to make it cooler. End of August/September would be a better time to search.

You make a good point mrsmildred maybe that's why I'm struggling to find one x

I hadn't either sowhat. I think the jumper I got second hand was this one It's a bit oversized with a deepish V neck. Very contemporary, nicer than most cashmere I've had and, as mrsmildred says, uk produced. Sorry, I know you're not after a jumper but I'm a bit evangelical about them at the moment!

Floisme · 19/07/2017 08:39

Sorry -several cross posts there. I was still banging on about Celtic and Co.
