Fellow hourglasses, where do you buy trousers from?

Dear hourglasses, where on earth do you find flattering trousers?

Am size 8/10 but I have a 12-13 inch difference between waist and hips. Large thighs but long legs for my height.

I can't seem to find any trousers which suit me and spend my life in skirts. Only trousers I own are 2 pairs of jeans. Where can I find nice brown/black trousers that slim my thighs and fit on the waist? At this stage, my budget has no limit - I just want some smart ones I can wear to work for days when I don't want to shave my legs/wear tights!

I have an 11-12 inch difference and find Zara pretty good for trousers.

I'm a 28-29 waist and a 39-40 hip at any given time - Zara's size 12 are 29 inch waist and 40 inch hip, so it is spot on for me. I would assume that the smaller sizes have the same ratio?

I have a 15 inch difference (am pear shaped) and will buy a size 16 then get it tailored. You won't get clothes to suit a pear/apple shape under a size 10- the clothing tends to be bigger over the belly and tighter on the hips (even H&M).

Size 12 not 16

I wear maternity trousers. Either the wideband under the bump or the ones that have the elastic let out bit inside.

Watching - had always assumed Zara would be too small for me but I have the same measurements as you case study sound sounds worth a punt.

Oooh thank you, I shall try Zara. Massimo Dutti were a good fit on the hips and waist but made my legs look like carrots.

Also tried Vivien of Holloway but the swing trousers did nothing for me.

I second Zara! I'm a size 8/10 hourglass with a massive, mysteriously gravity defying bum, which basically starts under my armpits, and Zara make the best high street trousers.

If you're looking to splurge, try Paige. I love their jeans and had a fab pair of trousers from there
