I'm not sure I like the bits 'stuck on' to it, and I agree that the round neckline isn't very flattering, but the effect is still beautiful.

It's similar to the shape my mum wore in 1961, although mum's was more of a slash/boat neck. I agree too that it's more like the sound of music dress than Grace Kelly's.

bonfireheart · 16/07/2017 23:24

Dress is nice. Don't like her hairstyle with the veil.

ScrumDinger · 16/07/2017 23:40

Nah it's not doing it for me. Far too stiff and formal and seems an odd choice for a low key wedding.

Apparently her husband is worth $3.5bn. So that's nice.

NorthernLurker · 17/07/2017 00:19

I think it's way too much for a second wedding.

Gemini69 · 17/07/2017 00:34

the style of dress and bride look stunning.. however I'm not a fan of this particular shiny cheap looking fabric... I know it's likely very expensive.. it just looks shiny naff x

SueMacartney · 17/07/2017 00:42

I know what you mean Gemini. It always looks cheap.

Wow Grace Kelly and Prince Rainier (??) look cheery Hmm

burnishedsilver · 17/07/2017 01:21

It's ok. Not loving it.
The hair and vail are not helping matters.

burnishedsilver · 17/07/2017 01:25

As an aside, I hope no one there had hayfever. It looks like they got married at the Chelsea flower show.

AvoidingCallenetics · 17/07/2017 07:17

I don't get why a second wedding has to be more reserved than a first one.

MargotLovedTom1 · 17/07/2017 07:23

I think she looks beautiful, and she's slim enough to wear a high, round neck without looking matronly at all.

He's worth $3.5bn? Blimey. I bet he doesn't go paddle boarding with his todger out for all to see either Grin.

Bluntness100 · 17/07/2017 07:27

I think she looks lovely and the dress is very elegant.

GinIsIn · 17/07/2017 07:28

It's a really weird choice for a backyard summer wedding.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 17/07/2017 07:33

It's awful. As someone else said it looks like the dress from The Sound Of Music.

Thet may have based it in Grace Kelly's but they forgot all the good bits and have been left with an extremely plain, boring dress.

IceCreamIceCream · 17/07/2017 07:38

I imagine it wasn't your casual backyard wedding. At 3.5$ billion I imagine his backyard is the equivalent of Kew Gardens!

SoupDragon · 17/07/2017 07:49

How refreshing not to see acres of cleavage!

She's a 30 something mother on her second marriage. This dress is far too virginal imo.

So, women should dress according to their level of sexual experience?

AngeloMysterioso · 17/07/2017 09:14

I'm not into it. Way too restrictive, with the high neckline, stiff looking fabric and that swam up the middle- the huge headdress thing is a bit much as well. Much preferred her more laid back relaxed style.

AngeloMysterioso · 17/07/2017 09:16

I mean she is stunningly beautiful, but she looks like she can hardly move

Miranda Kerr's wedding dress!!
BitOutOfPractice · 17/07/2017 09:22

I think the silhouette is lovely. Close up I'm not so convinced

MommaGee · 17/07/2017 09:25

She's clearly stunning but I don't think the overall look works to that. Its all very pulled back and covered and not in a flattering way. The neckline on grace Kelly's dress is far nicer.

Gosh don't they both look young!

Juturna · 17/07/2017 09:34

Don't particularly like the dress, but white dresses are nothing to do with being 'virginal' and all to do with being rich. The Victorians (who else?) showing off. Look at me, I can afford a totally impractical dress that I will only wear once!

peppaisapig · 17/07/2017 09:52

Seriously Shock I think it's awful! She's no doubt a beautiful woman, this does her no favours!

silkpyjamasallday · 17/07/2017 09:56

I love it, I agree the neckline could have been a slash or boat neck but I don't think it looks matronly at all, it's very elegant. I loathe strapless dresses which seem to be the go to look, I think they look pretty tacky most of the time and as they are generally ill fitting especially around the bust they are flattering on very very few people, Miranda would probably be one of those with a nice enough décolletage and arms to pull it off but I like that she went for something different.

pumpkin321 · 17/07/2017 09:58

It looks awful and doesn't flatter her. Really uptight looking and she appears stiff and uncomfortable. I don't see why they shouldn't goes as ott as they like for a second wedding though.

WeAreEternal · 17/07/2017 10:04

I think it's beautiful.
I wouldn't wear it, but it's beautiful.

Miranda Kerr's wedding dress!!
sooperdooper · 17/07/2017 10:08

No I don't like it at all, I'm not a fan of that stiff shiny satin fabric and don't like the embellishments on it
