Disclaimer: I'm not much of a shopper and I don't order clothes online.And I always ask myself would you buy it full price? .

Sales bring me out in a sweat but I braved M&S because in their last big sale I got a pair of work trousers , a navy cotton jumper and a floral tunic I'd been stalking but wouldn't pay £25 for. Vert

So this time round:

I ordered the Formula Face kit (mainly because it has a face brush that DD wanted and the Sleep Cream that was raved about)

Instore: a pair of khaki chinoes (I was after jegging but they didn't have them)
There was a lot of frilly tat but I got a black/white top for £9

In Uniqlo a couple of their ribbed tops (I'd done a wardrobe cull so these filled a gap)

In the New Year I bought a small diary to make notes of all my clothes/shoes/make-up etc and it does help to write it all down.

Anyone want to share?

I love a sale, but have become a lot more selective as I've got older, rather than grabbing armfuls just because there's money off.

So, recent purchases are black culottes in Next sale for £12 and two Ilse Jacobsen evening dresses from a shop near us that specialises in Scandinavian designers - £39 each(!) - for our forthcoming cruise. Also headed off to the Ashford outlet centre on Saturday and got a bra in Calvin Klein that was full price in the CK store opposite work, but was £9 in the outlet store.

Will report back if I get any further bargains.

Just one thing so far but still quite spendy: these Toast ankle length wide legs which I've been stalking all year (only just in time as they're nearly all gone now). I did try and feed the craving with a cheapie H&M version but they're already looking thin and saggy. But they've not arrived yet and might turn out to look ridiculous as Toast sometimes does.

I'm also eyeing up the Vivienne Westwood sale . I'm not normally in that spending league but I have some money from a big birthday that's been propping up my bank account for almost a year now and, if I don't spend it soon, I'll go on holiday and piss it away on cocktails. I've adored her for 40 years so it feels right.

These go very nice with the M&S full price (£15) dark grey jeggings I've just bought.
