Toe nail fell off...acrylic nail solution

Hi Ladies,

Glamorous subject up for discussion today...

Fungal riddled big toenail was hanging on for dear life and needed to be cut off (some left at cuticle).

Salon popped an acrylic nail on as I'm off on holiday in a couple of weeks.

Does the acrylic nail allow for the regrowth of new nail? I don't really want to hinder this process but can't bear the thought of no sandals during the much awaiting sandal season!

Help!

I've no idea but I actually feel a bit 🤢 at acrylic on bare nail bed!! Did it hurt?

Normally your own nails grow up, taking the acrylic with them, hence the need for infills. What have they fixed the acrylic to if you have no nail?!

I would ring the salon and check

It was the acrylic liquid paste I believe...reconstructed to look very realistic indeed...

Oh, and the mould was attached to the bare nail bed hence my reservations on the regrowth.

Thoughts please. There's a distinct dull pain in the toe but could well be due to the recent loss of nail...
