Anyone recommend an 'instant tan' that won't transfer?

I hate fake tan and gradual tanners don't work for me. I'm after a rub on wash off instant tanner for legs and arms. Mainly for upcoming holiday. Iv tried on the st tropez one today but even though I shaved my legs yesterday it's sunk into leaving little dots where it's settled into the pores!

Can anyone recommend one that doesn't do that and won't transfer?

The James Read washable instant tan is great. I am 1) cackhanded and 2) very very pale and I can apply this with no problem. It's in M&S but I found it cheapest on eBay

And it doesn't transfer either. Sali Hughes raves about it.

I haven't heard of that one. Does I settle into leaving dots?

OP..re the "dots"
Do you mean that it settles into your pores?

Do you moisturise (and let moisturiser dry) before applying instant tan?

I always do this, and don't have the "dots" issue. I use lots of different brands- from the Sally Hansen to the Rimmel one in a tube (can't remember the name)

Yes when it settles in the pores. It doesn't matter who soon or how long I leave it shaving my legs, it always leaves little black dots! I tried the st tropez this morning, had moisturised maybe 20 mins before applying so it was definitely dry??

I also find the wash of st tropez one stinks of the actual fake tan which I hate aswell!

I've just discovered Sally Hansen Airbrush leg makeup. It's amazing. I have used it not just on my legs but to even up my farmer's tan.

Airbrush Legs is great stuff.

This isn't an instant one, but the tanning mist I LOVE is Garnier's 'no streaks bronzer'. You spray it on and it dries straight away so there's no mess. Haven't had a problem with it making my legs dotty but then again it's not as dark as St Tropez.

This is a new product that I've heard good things about. Dont know whether it's any good or not. www.tancream.co.uk
