Basic t-shirts - best?

Blah school-run uniform has been plain t-shirts from Primark, New Look and H&M, which having been washed-and-worn a few times end up looking like rags. Which is fair enough for £3.

Where should I look for plain, well-cut t-shirt/plain tops that won't go to shit in the wash? No bobbling (Primark, 2 washes), no seams coming undone (H&M), no losing their shape (Forever 21, this made me sad, it was a nice top.)

I had two Gap ones that didn't last much longer than the cheap stuff, White Stuff basics seem to but they always have some kind of neck/hem faff going on.

Best for basics?

Oasis. They just get better and better. And now they do them in different 'fits'

I'm a Gap fan and mine seem to last years even though I am in them 14 hours a day. Worth another go? I only buy with a coupon so £8ish a shirt.

I absolutely live in H&M basics shirts and have never had a seam come undone. Hmm

M&S Essentials tee shirts, £4.50, wash well and haven't lost shape or gone bobbly.
Their £6.50 ones are good too the only thing great about M&S at the moment
