My latest tubing mascara find

Just have to share with other tubing mascara fans my latest discovery from Boots. I'd been using Estee Lauder but it's just too pricey, even on eBay or duty free. Anyway, its Soap & Glory's thick & fast high definition collagen coat mascara. It comes boxed. Their boxes all look the same to me so you have to look carefully. £10 tho I'm sure it's on offer occasionally.

It's lush. Separates each lash, lots of volume. Removes, as always, with hot water and I use a muslin.

Ooh. Duly noted, thanks - am running out of my Clinique one.

BangoSkanks · 13/07/2017 09:04

Thank you! I used to get the superdrug (got2be, I think) but they've stopped making it so in need of a cheaper replacement- I'll give it a go!

namechange20050 · 13/07/2017 09:05

Great! Thanks for recommendation.

JDSTER · 13/07/2017 09:13

I've got this one (part of Christmas set) and really don't rate it all. I don't find it separates lashes well at all. Each to their own of course but just balancing the thread for all those ready to buy it

bloodypassword · 13/07/2017 09:32

What a shame JDSTER! Mascara is such a personal thing I know. Everyone used to rave about a Maybelline mascara a while ago but I thought it was total pants.
I have pathetic eyelashes and this Soap & Glory one has worked for me which is a relief. Smile

Oh I was excited about this post - but tried this, and it was rubbish for me. Not half as good as clinique.

JDSTER · 13/07/2017 09:49

I've got Clinique 'flutter to full' tubing mascara and this soap and glory one is nothing like it at all.

bloodypassword · 13/07/2017 10:49

I haven't heard of the Clinique one. I heard good things about the No7 tubing mascara too but didn't rate that.

Thank you. I'm currently using the MAC one and it is too expensive. Will try the S&G one next.

Eve · 13/07/2017 14:51

L'Oréal one for me.

CloserIAmToFine · 13/07/2017 16:21

I am addicted to Blinc tubing mascara. Not cheap but worth it!

Callamia · 13/07/2017 16:35

I've used the No7 one for ages. It's not massively thick and spider-lash, but it's ace for everyday.

flickerty · 13/07/2017 16:35

Can we have a before/after pic pls?? Grin

cottagecheesequeen · 13/07/2017 16:42

My Estée Lauder has just finished so I went back to trusty Rimmel. Have used about 6 different ones over the last year and but I won't bother again. Its rimmel for lots of good coverage and colour.

theredjellybean · 13/07/2017 16:45

What is tubing mascara?

bloodypassword · 13/07/2017 18:55

It's not waterproof but the solution covers each individual in fibres which are removable with hot water. It's fabulous stuff and means there's no smudging. I'm a total convert.

Before and after flickerty? I will see what I can do Wink

bloodypassword · 13/07/2017 18:56

Each individual lash. Not the entire individual Blush

LalalalaaaCantHearYou · 13/07/2017 20:37

Basically the mascara once dried created a tube around each lash hair which technically shouldn't smudge or flake. When you remove it,it comes off like tubes

Oh wow!

Am heading into town later, going to treat myself!

InigoTaran · 14/07/2017 10:23

Clinique Lash Power is the best one I've found. Is bloody expensive tho!

bloodypassword · 14/07/2017 10:36

Not very good pics - very tricky to take a pic of ones own eyes! But hope it gives you an idea.

Any recommendations for me?

I tried tubing mascara a while back and really liked it for my sensitive eyes as I seem to rub them a lot, and it didn't come off.

I had the superdrug B one, but it's not made anymore.

I've tried the No 7 one (Stay Perfect) and now the Soap and Glory one (Thick and Fast) and neither have worked well for me - they both (but particularly the No 7 one) seem to make my top and bottom lashes stick together a bit at the sides, even when I try to keep my eyes apart long enough for it to dry! I can feel it through the day and it's irritating every time I blink. I also find them a bit clumpy, and the brush on the Soap and Glory one isn't symmetrically shaped, so if I end up with the wrong side towards my eyes, I end up touching them somehow (I do it all without my glasses and no depth perception that way as I'm v short sighted!). I end up blinking and getting it everywhere as a result.

So I need a really fast-drying one. Any recommendations?

Moogdroog · 22/07/2017 19:17

I like the No7 one, but I'll give this a go when my massive stash of those runs out. Tubing mascara saved my face!

spankhurst · 22/07/2017 20:51

Me too, Moog. I love the No7 one, but mascara is very personal.
