Bikini or one piece?

Sorry, chat might be better for this, but I couldn't find chat on the app!

We are going on holiday next month and for the first time since i was a small child i am considering a bikini. I have never been happy with my body and always gone for a one piece, preferably with a tshirt over.
The last year I have got more body confident, though would still change a lot!

I have ordered a bikini with a high waist and bandau(sp?) top which i actually kind of like. I've tried on my onepiece and somehow I think it actually makes my tummy look bigger!

I am a size 16-18 with a large tummy, but the bottoms do cover most of it.

Honest opinions, should I stick to covering up? Do you judge bigger people around the pool in bikinis?

I vote bikini!

So much sexier. Who cares what anyone else thinks - who's even looking???

I live in a holiday destination and it's rare to see people in a onepiece now.

Definitely a bikini. Be proud of your body.

The link seems to take me to a one piece?

Seems like a clear consensus though. I'm just worried I'll get there and feel too self conscious. Maybe I'll wear it around the house a bit so I get used to it. Just no answering the door!

Figleaves have some lovely bikini options with ruched and folded bottoms which are very flattering.

That Brasilia sight made me laugh out loud - the shapewear section is hilarious. ShockGrinGrinGrin

I can almost hear the pinging and whizzing of clasps and Lycra as the sun sets over Rio and everyone sighs with relief as gravity takes over...

I'm a big fan of high waisted bikinis, I think they're really flattering. Go for it!

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely · 12/07/2017 16:57

You'll regret it if you take a one piece. Ime pretty much everyone in resort type places wears a bikini, regardless of size.

Rayraybt2006 · 12/07/2017 17:02

If you feel good and confident in the bikini the go and rock it! It sounds like your more comfortable in it than the one piece anyways. Stride of pride 💪🏼💪🏼

Bikini. I hate swimsuits as they are never long enough in the body or high up enough on the bust, they just aren't designed for me.

SequinsOnEverything · 12/07/2017 17:31

whooo that's what I find too. It's weird because I'm short-average height.

A camel toe smoother bikini? Perfect Ineedmorelemonpledge & Twins!

I've already ordered myself a nude butt enhancer thong. Shock V tempted by the lower body latex trainer....

Great idea sequins - wear your bikini in a bit before you go - every body, just like your fingerprint is unique - no two are the same.

Maybe I'll forgo the shapewear altogether and continue with my bikini....

I'm perfectly happy with my body and I prefer a one piece, always have. They feel more comfortable. Bikinis have never fitted me properly and I'm not interested in getting a tan. Yes I'm normally in a minority and I don't care.
Wear whatever you like but please don't make assumptions.
