Narrow toe footwear

Following on from yesterday's thread about narrow heels and suitable footwear - I have this problem in reverse
I take a size 4 and have narrow ish feet anyway so limited to start with
I can't wear much of a heel and buy pointed toe flats
Where I really struggle is sandals - I just slide through the front of them! Peep toe of any kind is out - I sometimes size down to a 3 to go narrower but still tend to slide out
Shoe wise dune are ok for me - some faith styles are narrow and for heels makes like Peter kaiser and some polish German or Italian manufacturers are ok
Not got a huge budget I'm afraid but desperately need some comfy black sandals

Surely the obvious answer is to choose a sandal with a toe post like these? Or a cage front style here

I can't cope with toe posts too painful
A lot of the caged front styles are a bit frumpy too
Thanks though
