M&S

I'll hand in my S&B membership card on my way out.

Lol queen. Will check out M and S. I never shop there!
Also never would have thought of GAP so will take a look. Thanks both

LandsEnd - yes I know but they do different lengths and you can always style it with fashionable accessories and top!

Come back QUeen Grin

I think M&S are still good for the basics - just not anything with any kind of (alleged) 'style' to it!

I still buy jeans & shorts in M&S, and actually bought some a couple of really good bikini separates in there recently (with proper bra sizing).

Just keep away from Per Una Grin

'some a couple'' Confused

ASDA for cheap and cheerful - they have some longer shorts, or you could cut some .of their jeans to the length you want.

Of go surfy, Animal go up to a 16 (and it's generous sizing)

H&M for mine. Cheaper than GAP and the M&S sizes don't suit my shape.

So i managed to get a pair from tesco a few days ago. They are not too short but not too long and the leg is quite open so will be airy and comfortable. I'm going to go to the shops today though so will check out a few others. Maybe need smarter ones now that I bought denim ones.

White Stuff have some in the sale at the moment, I got a lovely flattering pair of khaki ones.

GAP do really good denim shorts. I am very chunky of thigh and their shorts are not too tight and and come down to slightly below mid thigh, so no worries about bum cheeks hanging out. I usually get a size or two up so that there is absolutely no tightness or bunching on the crotch and thighs. That's also means they become quite roomy at the waist and can sit low which is quite flattering when worn as a cover up over a bikini on the beach.

Nyancat · 16/07/2017 20:52

Next boyfriend denim shorts are great, v comfy and no thigh chaffing.

Chocolou · 16/07/2017 22:55

imjessie how does the sizing run? I'm a good size 14 really like the look of those as shorts generally don't suit my chunky legs
