Where can I find good ones?

There seems to be a distinct lack of emery boards on my tiny high street.

I don't get on with glass ones so prefer traditional ones.

They all seem to be expensive 4 in 1 ones which wear out in 5 minutes.

Any suggestions?Smile

I know you said no to glass but have you tried the Leighton Denny glass nail file? It's the only nail file I've used for years. It's won numerous awards and I fully recommend it

I buy cheap and cheerful large emery boards from bodycare/grahams.

I couldn't tell you how much they are because they are very cheap. They're big, grey and I really like them 😁

Yes,I have the LD one, don't like it at all. Thanks though.

I have a Tesco Value metal nail file which is great and has lasted for ages.

240 grit is the lowest for natural nails, on a wooden board otherwise it's too flimsy.

Look on eBay, not the CND ones though because they go blunt quickly.

Go for another brand like OPI, young nails, nsi etc.

Ahhhh there you are fluffy thank you!Smile

Try files designed for acrylic nails, I don't know if they are glass(?) but they are very hardwearing and don't wear down or age easily.

StarHeartDiamond · 12/07/2017 17:02

No they're not glass, just looked them up! So files for acrylic nails are like normal emery boards except they are very tough and don't shred or wear out.
