Which would you wear to a wedding?

It's not for a few weeks but I don't really want to buy anything new. Are one or other of these suitable, do you think? I haven't been to a wedding for years and, according to the bride, most women will wear suits (too much like work for me to consider).

Love the second one, really lovely.

Also, you look HALF your age!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/07/2017 09:15

Hadn't thought of a fascinator - great idea, thank you. And half my age 🙂 - very flattering but close up I look my age (as I think most people do really).

They both look lovely on you but I think the 2nd one is more wedding-y.

MaryLennoxsScowl · 11/07/2017 09:23

Ew, don't wear a fascinator! Wear an actual hat or nothing. I like the first dress better and if you're happy to show off your legs then why not!

dailydance · 11/07/2017 11:06

1st is a better colour on you

justanotheryoungmother · 11/07/2017 12:08

Another vote for the second one Smile

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/07/2017 12:42

I've just asked a friend who came for coffee and he said the second one looks too much like a wedding dress (??) - the bride is wearing a "knee length lace dress" so he might have a point.

First dress definitely, I love it and it's fab on you. The second one isn't as nice a colour on you, too neutral with your hair etc.

Calyx72 · 11/07/2017 14:00

I love the second one on you especially for a wedding. First is gorgeous but wanted to vote for second one in case you're counting votes in the end!

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/07/2017 14:04

I am counting votes at the end, so thank you!

I like the first best. Much more flattering.

Kenworthington · 11/07/2017 14:10

LOVE the first one. Second one a bit meh imho though it does suit you as you have a lovely figure

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 11/07/2017 14:15

I was going to say the second one was best for a wedding, but I was thinking traditional wedding dress for bride.
If she's wearing "knee length lace dress" definitely go for the first one! I think it suits your colouring much better.

polyhymnia · 11/07/2017 14:32

I like both but do think the second could look a little 'bridal'.

laramara · 11/07/2017 17:25

I love the first dress on you it is really striking, fab!

bbpp · 11/07/2017 17:28

The second one is lovely but I agree that the colour doesn't suit you. The first one you look amazing in.

SilentBob · 11/07/2017 17:30

First one! You look great!

EllaHen · 11/07/2017 17:32

First one. Definitely the first one.

What a lovely figure you have op.

Tootsiepops · 11/07/2017 17:35

Both dresses are lovely

and holy shit HOW are you nearly 48?!?

Lobsterquadrille2 · 11/07/2017 20:07

Thank you all so much! First dress: 20; second dress: 14.

That's decided me! Heels and earrings and I'm sorted. 😀
