My daughter is after a few bikinis for holiday that are not babyish but not too grown up she's 13 and about 160cm tall slim build. I bought her one from newlook age 12-13 and 14-15, the bigger one the briefs were soooo big they fit me and I'm a size 12/14. The 12/13 fit perfect on top just but again briefs were huge!!
Am I better buying ladies size 6/8 or will the tops be like bras more??

This is the one I bought her m.zalando.co.uk/new-look-915-generation-bikini-green-nl683c00e-m11.html

DD is 13 and v petite. She gets tops and bottoms separately as she is a 6 bottom and 8 top. She gets them from anywhere really (M&S, New Look, Primark) and then mix and matches them.

Esprit have a few in their sale.

BigGreenOlives · 10/07/2017 17:29

Depends on what you want to spend but Calzedonia & Top Shop are both good. We also bought from Jack Wills in their sale as they sell tops & bottoms separately.

Mix and match-DD's last ones came from Primark.

So you all suggest women's? I don't mind money wise too much as it's something you spend a lot of time in especially my dd she lives in the pool so upto about £30-40

DD gets adult size 6 clothes as age 11-12 are often a bit short on her now. Only problem I've found with adult bikini tops is so many are padded and either too grown up or mummy.

Whathaveilost · 10/07/2017 19:58

Being padded is not necessarily a bad thing.
I remember being mortified when i was about 13 and my nips were showing through thin material!!!

My 14 y o is very slim. She didn't want very childish bikinis. I got her one from Urban Outfitters in XS. She looks lovely in it and it fits perfectly. She is a 00!

friendlyflicka · 10/07/2017 20:09

It cost £35 - separate top and bottom - which I didn't really want to pay, but couldn't find anything else that was remotely right for less

mummc2 · 10/07/2017 20:14
