Vintage Style - Help needed!

I'm looking for nice vintage style dresses for workwear and the weekend, I can't abide Lindy Bop - too much like fancy dress.

Ideally I would order something from the Reese Witherspoon brand Draper James but the prices are ridiculous!

Can anyone recommend anyone else?

UK ideally as I don't want to spend a load on shipping! X

Have a look at the seamstress of Bloomsbury and hey day. Vivien of Holloway also do some more demure styles that aren't full on pineapple themed tutus! (Not that I have a problem with the flamboyant pinup style).

Collectif ?
The house of foxy ? (expensive though)
Tara Starlet has closed down but you can find her dresses on ebay.
Stop Staring, again try ebay for more reasonably priced clothing.

You could try Fever or Eucalyptus, I second having a look at Collectif as well.

I second Collectif

Revival Retro Not cheap but clothes I have bought there I've worn for years. If you are in London, go to the shop. They are infinitely patient and will put you in clothes you would never consider.
