Help - hair is still breaking off!

I've got an active thread in AIBU - which I mention my eczema, which does appear to be getting better.
However yesterday my mum trimmed my hair (well actually cut 3 inches off) and she noticed it is still breaking off. Now I've pretty much grown out some bleached highlights, but I don't that was the problem. I b/f DD2 for 2 years so I stopped breastfeeding her just under 2 years ago.
I take loads of vitamins and exercise. The thing is my hair does still grow very quickly, so not all of it must be breaking off. Could this be stress. When I say breaking off, it's more obvious because I wear my hair one-length (no layers) and it was just past my shoulders but is now just above. I have posted about this before, the fact that it grows so quickly reassures me though.. So is this stress? I'm not peri menopausal, I've got no other health issues. I am however knackered but do exercise 5 times a week...
