If you suffer from sweaty face....

... have you found a moisturiser that doesn't provoke it?

I have never really DONE moisturiser as it always makes me break into a sweat around my upper lip/nose/forehead (even in cold weather).

I asked a beautician about this and she murmured something about needing an oil free one then tried to sell me something very expensive.

Before I embark on an expensive trial and error process - any recommendations based on experience?

The best thing I've used is this followed by a swoosh of this on my t-zone area.

I'm thinking that Gothamista lady does not look like a sweaty face sufferer!

The other presenter said she lives in Korea and this is the best for the hot home mid and sweaty climate there.

But I do agree they look most fragrant.

Hot and humid

I suffer from major sweaty-face. So much so I'm contemplating botox. I cannot get moisturiser to stick because I get so hot and sweaty just moving around (menopausal).

I don't use anything because whatever i use ends up running into my eyes and massively stinging (apart from sun cream - not only does that sting but it also makes my eyes swell up!). I hate hot weather because of the sweating.

TheHumanRace I heard that CityBlock was being discontinued on MN - someone started a post about it and a few others agreed but I don't see it anywhere online so don't stock up too soon.

I have used it for years as well.

Do you use powder afterwards?

DameDiazepam was that a Q to me? If so - no! I don't do anything at the mo, I am a total beauty product novice. Occasionally think I ought to moisturise: try it; get sweaty face; stop bothering.

I recently got harangued about this by a beauty therapist and, let's face it, am getting old, so wondered whether it was worth another try.

I don't wear makeup at all other than the odd very special occasion, though.

I think you will always have this problem if you don't wear make up afterwards. What about just using moisturiser at night?

I do not suffer from a sweaty face but I read a book written by a make up artist who suggested skipping moisturizer and using a oil free primer for oily skin everyday! Not sure if this works but it could be worth a try. Also if you are oily do not use products that will strip the oil as your skin will only produce more to compensate for it!

I have the same problem, OP.
My skinny is good and not at all oily and I have daytime moisturisers and serums I'm very happy with except in hot, humid weather, when I suffer from sweaty face. That not only looks most unappealing in itself but also makes my fringe all damp and kinky, thus destroying my, and my hairdresser's, attempts at stylishness.

It's OK when I'm staying somewhere with AC because I put my moisturiser and sunblock on while my face is still cool. But my bedroom at home doesn't have AC!

Would love to know if anyone has found any product or treatment which helps.

Yup, that's me too and I also don't wear makeup- just concealer and lipstick usually.

I used to wash face in the shower and slap in Aveeno (or recently La Roche Posay) moisturiser.

However, after all the buzz, I bought some The Ordinary products. I've been using the LRP Hydraphase serum (TO also has HA serum, Caffeine Solution (for puffy eyes and dark circles) and Buffet for a week. Most days, I've found that I don't even need moisturiser after putting on these products - my skin feels amazingly soft and not dry at all. (I think now that skin was dehydrated rather than dry).

Your skin doesn't have that greasy feeling afterwards and that feeling of being sweaty underneath, IYSWIM, really recommend.

And yes, Gothamista looks indecently amazing!

If the sweating is a real problem it could be worth chatting to the doc about it. I had AWFUL facial and scalp sweating for a couple of years and was prescribed some cream for facial hyperhydrosis. Probably not the best long term skincare but after a few weeks of it my sweating had stopped and hasn't returned. Life changing!!
